Harvest Day at Zolezzi Vineyard: Celebrating Friendship Through Winemaking
This year’s harvest at Zolezzi Vineyard wasn’t about creating a wine for sale; it was a celebration of friendship and the art of making wine together. As the sun rose over the rows of Syrah, Malbec, and Cabernet grapes, family and friends gathered to experience the winemaking process and share in the tradition that has brought us closer over the years.
A Hands-On Winemaking Experience
We carefully handpicked the grapes, selecting the perfect fruit for our Red Blend, a special wine crafted only for friends. After harvesting, we de-stemmed and mixed the Syrah, Malbec, and Cabernet grapes. To begin fermentation, yeast was added, sparking the transformation from grape to wine over the next 4-8 days. Once fermented, the wine will be crushed and aged in oak barrels, deepening its flavors as it matures.
More Than Wine: A Celebration of Lifelong Friendships
This harvest was about more than the wine. It was a time to show our friends the beauty and effort behind winemaking and to remind ourselves of how important these lifelong friendships are. Together, we worked the vines, shared stories, and deepened bonds that, like a fine wine, only grow richer with time.
Though this Red Blend won’t be sold to the public, its value lies in the experience and the joy shared during its creation. It’s a toast to friendship, and every sip will remind us of the hands that helped create it.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable harvest day.
At Ghareeb & Zolezzi Wines, we treasure the people who make these moments possible and look forward to raising a glass of our Red Blend together soon!
